Bleeding Heart ____My First Blog

Bleeding Heart

We often hear people talk, sing, write stories and poetry about the intense pain of unrequited(not returned) love. But what we don’t hear about too much is what happens when you fall in love with someone who’s already in a relationship?

Well, I think, love that is bound by limitations can be more painful to navigate than love not returned. It’s like, you have a hole in your heart which can never be filled. Not only can you not have them for yourself, but you have to see them with their person. And even if you aren’t seeing them, we know we’re picturing them together. Like, in those little moments where they don’t reply to your text messages quite as quickly as they used to and your mind takes you on a ride.

Truthfully, having feelings for someone who’s in a relationship sucks, plain and simple.

The love will forever be limited to stolen moments. You might even think if they loved you, they’d leave their partner, but it’s never that easy. The intensity you seem to have fallen into is new and beautiful and exciting, but they have spent years building something with someone else. Even if their relationship is crumbling, there still remains that history, that love story between the two of them. At the end of the day, it sucks for all involved.

By now you should be thinking that loving somebody who’s already in a relationship is pointless and it’s the worst mistake you have ever made in your life. While it definitely just seems pointless emotional entanglement with no way forward, but there might still be some good there…somewhere maybe? So what happens?

They say that we’re always wanting the things we can’t have. At the same time, we’re also told to go after what we want and not to let anything ever stop us. So, which are we supposed to listen to? Share your thoughts…

Stay tuned…it’s not over yet….

P.S: I’m gonna add lyrics of a song which is related to the blog in my every post.

Here goes:

Song: In State of Grace

Taylor sings:

We are alone with our changing minds,
We fall in love till it hurts to bleed,
